Microsoft is back at it with it's laptop game, with Surface Book.
Surface Book combines the best of being a tablet and a laptop. Consumers might wonder, "What is the difference between the Surface 4 and the Surface Book?". Well, the Surface 4 is, "the tablet that could replace your laptop". Otherwise, it's use is geared towards tablet users.
That's what Surface Book is trying to prove. It's geared towards being a laptop, but it can be a tablet if it wants to. Surface Book is for the consumer who wants the accessibility of a full-sized keyboard (with a mouse), to do various tasks, but has the option to be used as a tablet.
It starts out with the keyboard itself. The keyboard works like any other laptop keyboard. It works great. This keyboard features a snake-like hinge, which makes it easy for the display to close or to be used as a clipboard.
Other specifications include a magnesium casing, which looks and should feel premium.
Options for an Intel Core i5 or i7 chip are available. The i5 comes in at $1499, while the i7 comes in at $2099. Along with the specifications, the price change, between the i5 and the i7, includes special feature packages from Microsoft. These two chipsets look to make Surface Book a very powerful device.
Streaming media should be a bliss and for gaming, Surface Book includes the NVIDIA GeForce GPU with 1GB GDDR5 memory. In short, graphic performance should be great, especially while gaming. RAM options are 8GB/16GB.
For video chatting or taking photos, Surface Book features a 5.0MP front facing camera and an 8.0MP rear facing camera. Video calling should be crispy and sharp. If you are interested in taking photos, with a tablet with a 13.5" display (267 PPI), then a 8.0MP for pretty crispy photos.
Microsoft calls this product, "the ultimate laptop". Whether it can be used as a laptop or as a tablet, Surface Book is a great option for your laptop/tablet needs.
