Smartwatches are a sign of technological advancement. "They are the future", as Agent Coulson said in that Dominos commercial, and he's right.
This is the Tag Heuer Connected. This piece of luxury and technology progresses the reason in why these devices could be a big step in the future.
With a classic circular design, made with titanium, Connected gives consumers a comfortable and similar finish to which a regular watch would give you. One thing though, it's a smartwatch, so it should present smartwatch capabilities.
Android Wear
First capability, the power of Google. Android Wear has been in the markets for some time now. Watches that run this operating system deliver many shortcuts that save time, instead of pulling your smartphone out. Connected is no different. With Android Wear, Connected presents features such as, notifications, fitness tracking, Google Now, and so much more. What's powering this technology is the specifications inside that is powered from Intel.

Specs
The next capability is what's inside of the device...specifications. Connected features a 1.5" circular LCD display (360x360, 240ppi) which is covered by Sapphire Crystal, one of the most durable materials on the planet. Connected also features 1GB RAM, 1.6GHz dual core processor, and 4GB of storage.
People move around a lot and tend to move their wrists too. For that, Connected features a Gyroscope, tilt detection sensor, microphone, and a haptic engine for all your wrist moving needs.

Now you might be wondering, "what is going on with the straps?". Well, Tag Heuer decided to go with a rubber strap with a 2 titanium folding clasp and safety push-buttons. What is the problem with only a rubber strap? Customization. There is only one strap and there will be only one strap.
The strap is not only the only problem with Connected.
The second problem is the price. Connected features a $1,500 price tag which is just out of this planet for a smartwatch. For the average consumer, this is not the right turn. For people who have a passion for new technology and have a chunky wallet, this is the right smartwatch for them. Seriously though, do you really think an average consumer, who just wants to try some new things, would buy their first smartwatch for around one grand? Hell. no. That'd not be a smart choice.
While we're on the string for problems, some others that maybe concerning is the size of the watch and the battery.
The size of the watch comes in 46mm. That is pretty big for a flagship device and there are no other sizes. So for people who have small wrists or for women, this may add to the factor into buying this device.
Now time for the most talked about subject in every possible tech product...the battery. The battery for this device comes in at 410mAh, which is small. Tag Heurer is telling us a day or a day and a half of battery, which mostly all smartwatches have.
Overall, this smartwatch has the potential of being great with the technological path that we're in right now, but for the average consumer, this could be a tough buy, because of the price.
